What BitMoment is
BitMoment is a P2P marketplace for buying and selling cryptocurrency against Russian rubles. The platform matches buyers and sellers directly, and every trade is protected by escrow — the seller's crypto is locked by the platform until both parties have met their obligations.
Security is our #1 priority
Everything we build starts with the safety of users' funds and identity. Without that, P2P trading is a lottery — and honest users lose. What we do to protect you:
- Two-stage verification (KYC) before trading. Anonymous accounts can neither open trades nor publish ads. Both sides of every trade are backed by a real phone and a real passport — a fraudster can't throw an account away after complaints and re-register.
- Escrow on every trade. The seller's crypto is locked by the platform when the trade opens, and is released to the buyer only on explicit payment confirmation. Neither side can "take everything".
- AML screening on deposits and withdrawals. Addresses are checked against sanctions lists and analysed for signs of criminal activity before crediting.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) — a separate account guard on top of your password, required both at login and on withdrawals.
- Moderation and independent dispute arbitration. Disagreements escalate to a moderator who decides based on evidence from both sides. Complaints and AML signals stay on the account dossier permanently.
- Audit logs of every money movement — captured internally and available for forensic review in case of an incident.
Every feature passes through the security filter. When usability would force a compromise on funds safety, we choose safety.
Step 1. Sign up
- Open the registration page.
- Enter your email and a password (minimum 8 characters with a lowercase letter, uppercase letter, digit, and special symbol).
- Confirm your email through the link we send — this unlocks trading.
- Optionally, sign in with Google instead of a password.
After registration, wallets for the supported cryptocurrencies are created automatically, and a nickname is generated for you. You can change the nickname in your profile settings up until your first trade.

Step 2. Secure your account with two-factor authentication
Turn on 2FA right after registration. It's a second password generated by an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password). Without 2FA, your password is the only thing standing between an attacker and your balance — that's not enough.
- Open Settings → Security.
- Enable two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code in your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
- Save the backup code somewhere safe (paper, not the cloud).
Once 2FA is on, the code is required at login and when you withdraw.

Step 3. Complete verification (KYC)
Trading access requires a two-step KYC. Levels:
- Level 0 — view-only access to the market, no trading.
- Level 1 — phone confirmation. Intermediate step.
- Level 2 — passport and selfie with the document. Once approved, trading is unlocked.
Verification lives under Verification in your dashboard. Phone confirmation is instant. Passport verification is reviewed by a moderator — typically a few hours. Two-stage verification lowers scam risk on both sides of the trade.

Step 4. Fund your wallet
To sell crypto, you need to deposit some first. Buyers don't have to fund anything — they pay the seller directly in fiat.
- Open Wallet → Deposit.
- Pick a currency and a network.
- Copy the deposit address (or scan the QR code).
- Send funds from your external wallet or exchange.
Supported networks:
- USDT TRC20 (Tron) — low fee, 20 confirmations required.
- USDT ERC20 (Ethereum) — expensive gas, 12 confirmations. May be temporarily disabled.
- BTC (Bitcoin) — 3 confirmations.
Once the network reaches the required confirmations and the sender address passes the AML check, your balance is credited automatically.

Step 5. Find an ad and open a trade
- Open Market.
- Pick what you're doing: Buy or Sell crypto.
- Filter by cryptocurrency, amount, and payment method.
- Choose an ad from a trader that fits. Pay attention to rating, success rate, number of completed trades, and last-seen time.
- Click Buy or Sell — a dialog opens with the trade parameters.
- Enter an amount in rubles or in crypto — the other field is calculated automatically.
- Confirm to open the trade.
The moment the trade opens, the seller's crypto is locked in escrow — it stays with the platform and is unavailable to the seller until the trade ends.

Step 6. Complete the trade
After the trade is open:
- The buyer sees the payment details and sends fiat to them within the time set by the ad.
- The buyer clicks I have paid.
- The seller confirms the funds actually arrived and clicks Confirm receipt.
- Escrow is released — crypto goes to the buyer.
If something goes wrong, the Open dispute button brings in a moderator who reviews evidence from both sides and rules on the outcome.

Step 7. Withdraw funds
Once you have crypto on your balance, you can move it out.
- Open Wallet → Withdraw.
- Pick a currency and a network.
- Enter the recipient address. You can save addresses to your address book for reuse.
- Enter the amount. The fee depends on the amount (tiered schedule).
- If 2FA is on, enter the code from your authenticator.
- Confirm.
After confirmation, the transaction is broadcast to the network. You can track it in your operation history.

Fees at a glance
- Per trade: 1% from the ad creator (the trader). The client who arrives via someone else's ad pays nothing.
- On deposits: zero — the platform charges nothing for incoming transfers. The network fee is paid by the sender.
- On withdrawals: depends on network and amount (tiered). The exact fee is shown on the withdrawal form before you confirm.
Five security rules that save real money
- Never release crypto before you see the fiat in your own account. Screenshots can be faked.
- Don't move chat or payment off-platform. Only on-platform evidence counts in a dispute.
- Turn on 2FA immediately. This closes 90% of account-takeover paths.
- Verify every support message. Real support writes only from the official bot
@BitMomentSupportBotand never asks for passwords, codes, or seed phrases.
