Before you deposit
BitMoment is a P2P platform — you fund the balance yourself. The platform creates a unique address in your chosen network, and you transfer funds to it from an external wallet or exchange.
Key points:
- The address is yours alone. Nobody else should send anything to it but you.
- The address is permanent. Once generated, you can use it forever, for any number of deposits.
- Don't mix networks. USDT TRC20 and USDT ERC20 are DIFFERENT addresses. Sending on the wrong network = permanent loss.
Step 1. Open the Deposit section
Dashboard → Wallet. Balance cards at the top, then the Deposit and Withdraw tabs. Open Deposit.
Step 2. Choose currency and network
Currency first — USDT or BTC. Then the network:
- USDT TRC20 (Tron) — low fee, 20 confirmations ≈ 1 minute.
- USDT ERC20 (Ethereum) — expensive gas, 12 confirmations ≈ 2.5–3 minutes. May be temporarily disabled by admins.
- BTC (Bitcoin) — 3 confirmations ≈ 30 minutes.
More on networks — Fees and networks.
Step 3. Copy the address
After picking the network, the system shows your address:
- As a QR code (for mobile scanning).
- As a text string (for manual copy).
Click the address or the Copy icon — it lands in your clipboard.
Warning: verify the address character-by-character after pasting. There are viruses that swap crypto addresses in the clipboard — at minimum compare the first 4 and last 4 characters.
Step 4. Send funds
In your external wallet or exchange:
- Open the withdrawal feature.
- Pick the same currency and the same network you chose on BitMoment.
- Paste the address. Most wallets now validate the format — pasting a TRC20 address into an ERC20 form will complain.
- Enter an amount (minimum depends on the exchange).
- Confirm. The exchange usually shows its own fee — that's paid by the sender, so we receive "amount minus exchange fee".
Step 5. Wait for confirmations
After sending, the transaction enters the blockchain. Then:
- The transaction is included in a block (1 confirmation).
- Each new block on top is another confirmation.
- Once the required count is reached (TRC20: 20, ERC20: 12, BTC: 3), the next step begins.
In Operations history, the transaction shows as Pending with current confirmations (e.g. "5/20"). After hitting the required count, the status changes to Confirmed (after the AML check).
Step 6. AML check
Once confirmations are sufficient, the platform automatically checks the sender's address with AML providers. Outcomes:
- Low risk (0–25) — deposit credited automatically. You get a notification.
- Medium risk (26–50) — deposit credited; an internal alert is logged for monitoring.
- High risk (51–75) — deposit goes to manual moderator review. Usually decided within hours.
- Critical risk (76–100) — deposit frozen. Contact
legal@bitmoment.proand explain the source of funds.
The platform doesn't publish thresholds and criteria — by design, to prevent gaming. If your deposit is frozen, write to support with source evidence.
Step 7. Balance funded
After the AML check, crypto lands on your available balance. Done.
In Wallet → Operations history, the transaction is Confirmed with timestamp, transaction hash, amount, and network.
Minimums and fees
- The platform charges no deposit fee. You receive exactly what was sent (minus the sender's network fee).
- No minimum deposit, but if a deposit is tiny and the sender's network fee is high (especially ERC20), it may not be economical.
- The network fee is paid by the sender (exchange or external wallet), not you.
Common problems
Deposit doesn't arrive
- Verify the transaction is actually confirmed on-chain — open the explorer (Tronscan for TRC20, Etherscan for ERC20, Mempool.space for BTC) and find your TxID. If confirmations < required, just wait.
- Verify you sent on the same network you chose on our side. If you sent USDT TRC20 to our ERC20 address — funds are gone, unrecoverable.
- If confirmations are reached and 30+ minutes have passed — likely AML is in progress. Wait an hour.
- If nothing helps — message
@BitMomentSupportBotwith TxID, send time, and your email.
Deposit stuck on AML check
Sometimes normal (a few minutes). If an hour or longer:
- Email
support@bitmoment.proand explain the source ("withdrawn from Bitpapa, history available"). - Be ready to share evidence. Don't stress — routine review doesn't imply accusations.
I sent to a wrong-network address
Unrecoverable. The same character string in TRC20 vs ERC20 represents different addresses, and funds sent to "the wrong place" physically don't sit with us. This is a network rule, not a platform one.
To avoid this — always cross-check the sender exchange's network selector with the network you chose on BitMoment. For a first large transfer, send a small test amount first.
