Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27.06.2026 UTC

This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") describes which cookies and similar technologies the BitMoment platform (the "Platform", the "Service", "BitMoment") uses, for what purposes and how the user can manage them.

This Policy forms an integral part of the User Agreement. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read this Policy, agree to it and undertake to comply with it. See also: User Agreement, Privacy Policy, AML/KYC Policy.

1. General Information

1.1. The controller of data obtained through cookies is BitMoment. The applicable law and the procedure for resolving disputes are determined by the User Agreement.

1.2. This Policy forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy and applies together with it. The processing of personal data obtained through cookies, including the legal bases, purposes, data-subject rights and the procedure for their exercise, is governed by the Privacy Policy. In any matter not expressly regulated by this Policy, the provisions of the Privacy Policy apply.

1.3. By using the Service, the user acknowledges that the use of strictly necessary cookies is required for the functioning of the Service and agrees to the use of other categories of cookies to the extent set out in this Policy, within the limits permitted by applicable law.

2. What Cookies Are

2.1. A cookie is a small file stored by the user's browser when using the Service and used to store session data and settings. Similar technologies include local and session browser storage, device identifiers and other technologies performing functions similar to cookies.

2.2. Cookies in themselves do not contain or transfer malicious code and are not used by the Platform to collect information unrelated to the functioning, security and improvement of the Service.

2.3. In addition to maintaining the operation of the Service, cookies and similar technologies are used to collect technical information about the device and the session (including the browser used, connection parameters and signs of automation) for the purposes of risk reduction, the detection of multi-accounts and anomalous activity, and the prevention of fraud. Such information may be used as part of the Platform's verification and control mechanisms, including the digital-dossier mechanisms; the procedure for its processing is governed by the Privacy Policy, and the related control measures by the AML/KYC Policy.

TermMeaning
Session cookiesCookies deleted at the end of the browser session.
Persistent cookiesCookies stored for an established period and after the end of the session.
Third-party cookiesCookies set by the Platform's service providers.

3. How Cookies Are Used

3.1. The Platform uses the following categories of cookies:

  1. Account and authentication cookies — enable signing in to the account, maintaining the session and identifying the authenticated user.
  2. Security and anti-fraud cookies — provide protection against fraud, automated abuse and unauthorised access, including the collection of technical information about the device and the session for the purposes set out in clause 2.3.
  3. Preference cookies — remember user settings (the choice of language, theme and other interface parameters) for usability.
  4. Analytics cookies — used to understand how users interact with the Service, in anonymised or aggregated form, in order to improve the Service, where applied.

Cookies of categories 1 and 2 are strictly necessary: without them the Service does not function, and they are not disabled by means of the Service. The Platform does not use cookies for advertising or targeting purposes.

3.2. Consent to the use of cookies is expressed by the user performing registration actions and/or continuing to use the Service while having the information set out in this Policy, within the limits permitted by applicable law. Separate confirmation for each category of cookies and for each version of this Policy is not required (the acceptance procedure — clause 6.3).

3.3. The user may restrict or delete cookies by means of their browser settings. The management, blocking and deletion of cookies are carried out by the user independently through the browser they use.

3.4. The user's disabling or restriction of strictly necessary cookies makes the use of the Service impossible or available in a limited mode (without the ability to sign in to the account and to carry out transactions); the user assumes such consequences. The Platform is not obliged to ensure the functioning of the Service where the user has disabled strictly necessary cookies and is not liable for the related consequences, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

3.5. The Platform does not use cookies for purposes incompatible with this Policy and is entitled to change the composition of cookies used at its discretion within the limits of this Policy.

4. Third-Party Cookies

4.1. Certain cookies may be set by the Platform's service providers (infrastructure providers, services protecting against automated attacks, analytics services — where applied). The transfer of data to service providers is carried out in the manner of the Privacy Policy.

4.2. The Platform is not liable for the data-processing policies of third-party resources to which the user may navigate, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Retention Period

5.1. Session cookies are stored for the duration of the session; persistent cookies for the period necessary for the relevant purpose or until they are deleted by the user, within the limits permitted by applicable law.

6. Final Provisions

6.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is not liable for the consequences of the user's browser settings, the actions of third parties or the user's disabling of cookies.

6.2. The recognition of any provision of this Policy as invalid or unenforceable does not entail the invalidity of the remaining provisions; an invalid provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. All provisions apply "to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law". The applicable law and the procedure for resolving disputes are determined by the User Agreement.

6.3. The procedure for accepting this document and the legal consequences of its amendment are determined by the User Agreement, of which this document forms an integral part. Consent is expressed in the manner established by the User Agreement and does not require separate confirmation for each version.

6.4. BitMoment is entitled, at its discretion, to amend this Policy. The current version of the Policy is published at /support/docs/cookie-policy. The version history is available at /support/docs/cookie-policy/history.
