What is the address book and why the 24-hour activation?

Accepted Answer

The address book is your list of saved external withdrawal addresses. Stores label, network, address and date added. Convenient so you don't enter long addresses every time.
Why 24-hour activation:
When you add a new address to the book, it appears immediately but you can only withdraw to it after 24 hours. This delay is critical protection against account compromise:

If an attacker gets access to your account (e.g. stolen password), they can't add their own address and drain funds in a minute.
Within 24 hours you'll likely notice suspicious activity (new sessions, login attempts, new-address notifications) and lock the account via password reset or support.

Withdrawing without the book is allowed — enter an address manually in the recipient field. No delay, but with 2FA on, the code is required. It's a one-time operation — the address isn't saved.
Safe practices:

Enable 2FA — strongly recommended for any non-trivial withdrawal.
Don't add unknown third-party addresses to your book.
If you get an email about a new address being added and it wasn't you — change your password immediately and contact support.

Question 2

How many confirmations are needed to credit a deposit?

How it works:

The platform monitors incoming transactions via a blockchain provider.
While confirmations are below the threshold, the wallet shows the tx in "Pending" status (yellow).
When the threshold is reached, status changes to "Confirmed" (green) and crypto appears on your available balance.

All deposits automatically pass an AML check — usually it takes a few seconds. On high risk, funds may be temporarily frozen pending manual review. See What is an AML address check.

Which networks are supported (TRC20, ERC20, BTC)?

Recommendations:

For USDT — use TRC20: low fee, fast.
ERC20 — only if the counterparty needs USDT specifically on Ethereum (e.g. an exchange or DeFi protocol). Due to expensive gas, the network may be temporarily disabled (see FAQ below).
BTC — the only network for Bitcoin.

Golden rule: when sending crypto, the sender's network must match the recipient's network. Sending USDT TRC20 to an ERC20 address (or vice versa) means lost funds.

Question 4

Do I need a 2FA code when withdrawing?

Accepted Answer

If you have 2FA enabled — yes, every withdrawal confirmation requires the 6-digit code from your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.). Without a valid code, the withdrawal doesn't go through.
If 2FA is off — no code required, just confirm the popup with withdrawal details.
How it works:

On the "Withdraw" tab, fill the form and click "Confirm withdrawal".
A popup opens with details (currency, network, address, amount, fee, total to receive).
If 2FA is enabled, an extra field for the 6-digit code appears.
Enter the code and click "Confirm" — the request is submitted.

If the code is wrong, the popup does not close — re-enter the correct code, no need to start over.

Question 5

How do I top up my balance (create a deposit address)?

Accepted Answer

Open Dashboard → Wallet.
Go to the "Deposit" tab.
Pick a currency (USDT or BTC) and network (TRC20, ERC20 or BTC).
Click "Generate address" — the platform creates a unique address and QR code for your account.
Copy the address (or scan the QR) and send crypto from any external wallet/exchange.
After the required number of network confirmations, funds appear on your balance.

Important:

The address is unique and permanent — you can reuse it.
Don't send crypto on a different network — sending USDT TRC20 to an ERC20 address means lost funds.

Question 6

The transaction has confirmations but my balance isn't credited — why?

Accepted Answer

Check this list:

Does the network match? Sending USDT TRC20 to an ERC20 address (or vice versa) means lost crypto — irrecoverable. Always check sender and recipient network.
Right token? A TRC20 deposit address accepts only USDT TRC20. If you accidentally sent native TRX (not USDT) to a USDT address — it's not credited: native TRX to a token address is not accounted. Contact support.
How long since the required confirmations? The platform polls the blockchain every ~2 minutes — a small delay is normal.
AML review pending? Deposits with suspicious AML scores go to manual review (AML_REVIEW status). The transaction history shows this. See What is an AML address check.
Is the tx even visible on a blockchain explorer? Check Tronscan (TRC20), Etherscan (ERC20), Mempool.space (BTC) by TxID or address. If it's not there — it hasn't gone through yet.

If everything looks fine but the deposit isn't credited 30+ minutes after the required confirmations — contact support with TxID and address attached.

Question 7

Minimum and maximum deposit/withdrawal amounts?

Accepted Answer

Deposit:

Minimum — set per network (usually small, to cover the sweep cost). The exact value is shown when generating an address.
Maximum — no hard upper limit. However, large deposits go through more thorough AML checks. See What is an AML address check.

Withdrawal:

Minimum — per-network (e.g. for USDT TRC20 — a few USDT; for BTC — small fractions). Shown on the withdrawal form after picking a network.
Maximum — capped by your wallet balance. The platform won't let you withdraw more than you have.
With a circuit-breaker setting, large withdrawals may need manual admin approval (you'll see "Awaiting approval" status).

If your amount doesn't go through, the system shows the exact reason (network minimum, insufficient balance, network disabled, etc.).

Question 8

Why is ERC20 withdrawal unavailable?

Accepted Answer

The ERC20 network is managed by platform admins and may be temporarily disabled for deposits, withdrawals, or both.
Reasons for disabling:

High Ethereum gas — Ethereum fees can spike to the point where withdrawals are economically unviable (10-30 USDT in fees).
Low ETH in hot-wallet — the platform needs ETH for gas; if it runs out, withdrawals pause until refill.
Provider issues (Tatum, Infura) — temporary network outage.

What to do:

Use TRC20 for USDT — stable low fees and fast transfers.
For large USDT amounts on ERC20 — contact support, an admin may temporarily enable the network for your operation.

How do I withdraw crypto?

Accepted Answer

Open Dashboard → Wallet → Withdraw.
Pick currency (USDT/BTC) and network (TRC20, ERC20, BTC — if enabled).
Enter the recipient address — manually or from your address book.
Enter the amount. The platform shows: network fee + platform fee, and amount to receive.
Click "Confirm withdrawal" — a popup appears with details.
If 2FA is enabled, enter the 6-digit code.
Confirm — the request is submitted.

Important:

Address book entries activate 24 hours after being added — protection against account compromise.
A new address (not in book) withdrawal is allowed without the 24h delay, but requires a 2FA code.
Minimum withdrawal and fees depend on network — see Fee schedule.
On staging/testnet, all amounts are test funds with no real value.

What's the withdrawal fee and what does it depend on?

The withdrawal fee is based on a tiered schedule (Bitpapa-style) — depends on the chosen network and withdrawal amount.
Indicative ranges (may be adjusted by admins):

USDT TRC20: ~5-18 USDT depending on amount
USDT ERC20: ~4-18 USDT depending on amount (when network is enabled)
BTC: ~0.00032-0.0033 BTC depending on amount

Where to see the exact amount:

On the "Withdraw" tab in your wallet — after entering an amount, the platform shows "Network fee" and "Total to receive".
Before confirmation, a popup with details opens.

How the fee is used:
It's a single withdrawal fee. Part covers the blockchain network gas, part goes to the platform. Users see a single "Network fee" line — the platform margin breakdown isn't disclosed (commercial information).
Internal transfers (you withdraw to another BitMoment user's address on the same network) are instant, off-chain — but the fee per schedule still applies (it's a service charge).

Question 11

How long does a withdrawal take?

Accepted Answer

Typical withdrawal time:

USDT TRC20: 1-3 minutes after clicking "Confirm withdrawal".
USDT ERC20: 3-10 minutes (depends on Ethereum load).
BTC: up to 60 minutes (including network confirmations on the recipient side).

What may delay a withdrawal:

Manual admin approval. At the current stage of platform operation (pre-mainnet circuit breaker), a withdrawal above a certain amount may require approval. In that case the tx status is "Awaiting approval" and a corresponding badge is visible in the wallet.
AML address check. If the recipient address has high AML risk, the withdrawal may be frozen pending manual review.
Low ETH in hot-wallet (ERC20). If the platform is running low on gas ETH, ERC20 withdrawals queue up.
Blockchain or provider issues — rare but possible.

Internal transfers (withdrawing to another BitMoment wallet on the same network) are instant, off-chain.
If a withdrawal is stuck for more than 2 hours — contact support with the request time and amount.

Question 12

What is an AML address check and why is my withdrawal frozen?

Accepted Answer

AML (Anti-Money Laundering) is a check of a crypto address for involvement in illegal activity. The platform checks every address: both the one that sent a deposit and the one you're withdrawing to.
What is checked:

Match against sanctions lists (OFAC, EU, UN).
Interaction history with mixers and tornado-cash-like services.
Links to known scam/hack addresses and darknet markets.
Behavioral patterns (smurfing, chain hopping).

The platform does not disclose specific criteria, weights and thresholds of AML scoring — this is a security policy (anti-"tipping-off") and a Terms of Use condition. Decisions are made at the moderation's sole discretion.
Freeze ≠ confiscation: funds remain on your balance and will be unfrozen after the review (absent confirmed violations).
